API Terms

Keys are issued to named partners after we review the request. One key per integration; a key is not transferable, and it is not to be shared between companies, products, or resold access. Tell us before you move a key to a different product and we will issue a new one.

Any display of ShareStructure data, in any medium, must show Powered by ShareStructure.io, linked to the assessment page we return in links.assessment or to sharestructure.io.

The credit goes inside the same visual component as the data — the same card, table, or panel — and must be legible at the size the data is shown. A credit in a site footer, a terms page, or an about page does not satisfy this.

The score badge at /embed/badge/{ticker}.svg carries the credit itself, so using the badge satisfies this section. So do the lockups on /brand.

You may not redistribute, resell, sublicense, or bulk-export the data, or make it available through an API of your own.

You may not use the data to build, train, or improve a competing dataset or model.

You may not cache a response for longer than 24 hours.

You may not remove, obscure, shrink, or reword the credit.

You may not present the data in a way that implies ShareStructure endorses a security, a trade, or your product.

We log every request made with your key.

We may suspend or revoke a key at any time, without notice, for breach of these terms or for abuse of the service.

We may change rate limits, daily limits, or the shape of a response, with notice to the contact on the key.

The data is educational. It is reconstructed from public SEC filings and market data, and it may be stale, incomplete, or wrong. Nothing we return is investment advice, a recommendation, or an offer.

The data is provided as is, with no warranty of any kind. We are not liable for trading or business decisions made on it, by you or by your users. See our disclaimer and terms of service, which also apply.

Limits are set per key and returned on every response in X-RateLimit-Limit, X-RateLimit-Remaining, and X-RateLimit-Reset. Over the limit returns 429 with Retry-After. Read the headers rather than guessing.
